Successful completion of the Diploma of Human Resources Management will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to achieve and progress your career goals in the management of people in the workplace.

Leading, inspiring and managing people and working with and improving systems and processes, holders of this qualification display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to ensure that human resource functions are effectively conducted in an organisation or business area.

Who should do this course?

You should enrol into this course if

  • You in a supervisory role and want to take that next step into human resource management. OR
  • You have experience (current or previous) in an office / corporate environment and want the credentials to take you to the next step OR
  • You would like to work as a Human Resource Manager of an organisation, branch or department.
Are there any Pre-Requisites

Yes, in order to enrol into this qualification our enrolment officer must first approve your application.

Your application will be approved if you meet the Just Careers Training – Student Entry Procedure

In summary:

  • You must hold a Year 12 certificate or equivalent
  • Have completed a Certificate IV (or higher) in Australia

If you have not completed a Year 12 then you may demonstrate competence at Exit Level 3 in the Australian Core Skills Framework in both reading and numeracy through an approved Language, Literacy and Numeracy test (we arrange this test for you).

Delivery Mode

All our courses are Mixed Mode Flexible Delivery. All our courses include a component of self-paced study. Choose from Online, Print and Campus Delivery modes.

  • Distance Learning - Online Option this option means that your course materials will be delivered to you through our online Learning Management Platform. You simply logon, read, study, complete your assessments and submit them all online for your trainer to assess, provide you with feedback and outcomes.
  • Distance Learning - Print Option this options involves having your course materials sent to you in print format by post. Your assessments and submissions may be then typed up and posted back to your trainer who will assess your work and provide you with feedback and outcomes.
  • Campus Delivery Option attend one of our state of the art training facility to have full face to face interaction with your trainer and other students on the same journey.

All Options include the full support of an approved and qualified trainer and the team at Just Careers Training.

When does the course commence?

If you prefer one the Distance Learning Options (online or print), The course commences when you’re ready!

You will be able to nominate a commencement date in the enrolment process.

If you prefer to attend for classes and workshops and you choose the Campus Delivery Option – course commencement dates can be found by clicking on Course Calendar

How long does the course take?

For Distance Learning Options - The course commences on the date nominated by you in the enrolment process. You will have 24 months to complete the course requirements.

This course is a Self-Paced course meaning that you may move as quickly or as slowly as you like, but you must complete the course within 24 months.

As a guide, depending on your current competencies, life/work experience and your literacy level, you would need to spend up to 20 hours per week to meet the requirements of this course within the 24 months (this includes taking breaks and holidays).

There is some allowance for extra time (extensions) to complete the course, please refer to the course terms and conditions for further details.

For Campus Delivery Option - You will have 24 months to complete the course requirements. Classes and Workshops are as per the course schedule and usually involves attending once a week for 8 weeks at a time. Click here for upcoming Course Schedules

Assessments designed to assess your competency will be conducted throughout the course and may include:

  • Answers to questions
  • Completion of tasks and projects (including research projects)
  • Case Studies and Scenarios
  • Simulated Scenario Assessments
  • Phone Assessments (may be conducted by video link)

Our assessments are based on realistic businesses and their processes. Your course includes access to our specially designed simulated business portal – you will feel like a new manager immediately!
