Just Careers Training is contracted by the NSW Food Authority, the government agency responsible for ensuring NSW food is safe and correctly labelled, to deliver Nationally Recognised Training and issue a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.

Legislation in NSW and ACT now require certain hospitality and retail food service businesses to appoint at least one trained Food Safety Supervisor per site.

The NSW Government have formally made amendments to the Food Act 2003 which introduced mandatory food handler training to help safeguard NSW consumers from food borne illness.

ACT Health have provided ACT Businesses until 1 September 2013 to ensure that they comply with ammendment to the Food Act 2001.

Food Safety Supervisors will need to receive training and attain a Nationally Recognised unit of a competency, within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) system, and hold a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate. Through our course, participants will receive the unit of competency 'Apply Food Safety Practices (SIRRFSA001A)'. The new legislation will also require refresher training every five years. Businesses that do not comply with this new legislation will face tough new penalty's that may be detriment to business.

For NSW participants, the total cost to do this course online or by correspondence is only $150 $100 plus *$30 NSW Food Authority Food Safety Supervisor Certificate Fee.

The NSW Authority Food Safety Supervisor Certificate Fee is a fee charged by the NSW Food Authority, and will be charged to you once you complete your course and prior to being issued your certificate.

For ACT participants, the total cost to do this course online or by correspondence is only $100.
